Writing Formulae
Reflection
For Maths we were learning how to do pixel art with numbers.
As you can see at the side there are colors with numbers for example, to get red you needed to do =10+2 it with put the red in that cell you were on.
I decided to do a face because it would be easy.
Next time I would probably do harder ones.

Speech
Reflection
We were learning about how to write a speech.
First we needed to find a good introduction so that we could get the peoples attention.
second we gather information and then do some researching.
Then we write the actual speech.
Next time I need to make a better conclusion.

Persuasive Texts
WAL to identify bias in a text. We had to highlight the words that showed Koro Apirana being biased. He would be mean to Kahu because he wanted a boy to be the chief but Kahu was next in line and she is a girl.
I thought this activity was easy because I could find the examples.
The easiest part was the ones where it said he was grumpy with her. The hardest part was where it didn’t say it very clearly.
I hope we get to do something like this again.

Persuasive Writing
WAL to identify persuasive techniques. We had to figure out which technique they were using. We had practiced these techniques in the skits we created. For example
They dress up like a scientist so we believe their expert opinion
30 Seconds has a slogan :”Spray and Walk Away”
Emotional Appeal makes you feel guilty if you don’t use the product
The technique I found easiest to remember is slogan because I remember it easily.
The technique that was hardest was emotional appeal because I found it hard to manipulate a person to think I was right
Overall, it was easy because I could tell that they use this or that technique

Term 2 Week 2
Buddhist Temple
On Thursday 11 of May the Year 5&6 went to the Buddhist Temple. At 9.20am we arrival the temple. It was raining so bad they we standing with umbrella's in their hands. We went into the first part of the temple. We were sorted into groups of 1,2,3,4.
When we started the rotations we were introduced to the garden of the temple. We learnt that when you stand on the grass, the grass will push you up, like when you get stepped on you will get back up, like you would use resilient. We moved to the next rotation, it was origami we were told that lotus flowers grow on dirty water. We made lotus flower out of paper.( I am planning to give to mom).(DO NOT TELL MOM).
Next we went to the a type of statue called the Buddhist, we had to knee down and had to bathe the Buddha. We bathed the right arm and said"say good words" then we bathed the left arm and said"do good deeds" and then bathed the back of the Buddha and said"think good thoughts". then we moved into the room with a video, then we turned into movie stars and then turned in to bee's and bird. We pretended that we flew over the lotus. Then we went to the wish room and I wished that I was a better student.
Next we ate brownies and drank water. Then I ate an another brownie and then went into a room which had a video on which tells us who is the strongest person and then the police came. they showed us about the 3g and 4g which

Bridge to terabithia
We were learning how to sequence and summaries the texts.
We had to find the key words and then we had to put the chapters in order and then we had to describe
what was about.
I think this was easy because I was here and I remembered the chapters in order.

Make Connections
Wal to make Connections Between the real world and a text.
Room 20 has been reading the book "Bridge To Terabithia". In the story, it was raining really hard and the week was swollen and flooded. Yesterday it was pouring here as well. So we decided to do some authentic learning. We made some raincoats from plastic bags and walked down to see the creek behind our school. We could see the water flowing fast and the plants that had been flattened. I thought that the houses was flooded because the rain was so hard that the water was up to the houses.

Bike skills
The best part about bike skills was riding up and down ramps and I pushed myself to the most of my limits.
The most challenging was going around the field after the ramps because I had to use my muscle power in order to get past that part .
The part that was new and different was riding up and down the ramps.

Term 1 Week 6
Week 6 Term 2
In week 5 at 7:00 am, we went to camp on Wednesday till Friday.
a few days ago we had a spelling test, and our writing was did you ever poems and I had it finished.
On Wednesday two days ago we did our spelling it WAS A M! for MARCO POLO.
Today we are doing dodge ball after lunch because we are using all of our rewards.

Did You Ever Poem
I was learning to write a did you ever poem. I learnt to use the suffix ing. I found this hard because it had to have a noun then the ing. I'm most proud that I did the noun and the ing. I could do differently is make that the noun in not only about humans.

Welcome I am Marco and I like Badminton running and love doing piano.
I like doing swimming and wanted to be a digikid and I don't know if I am.
I was a swimmer and then I think I not and I am very good at maths.
At maths I am a level early 7 or 7 .
I what to achieve a personal best of three badges and
get 100 tickets before term 4
I want to participate in the swim comp but I think a I'm not going to join
now I want to join the soccer team.
